The extensive Family AcroYoga teacher-training program combines pedagogical knowledge with practical training methods. Training is conducted over four modules, two online modules and two onsite modules.
OUR VISION
We believe everyone can fly and we want to make it a reality. Our vision for Family AcroYoga is to nurture the existing community and connect teachers and practitioners around the world. We acknowledge that family acrobatics, family circus, family gymnastics arose naturally over the years.. With this teacher training we would like to create a network in which practitioners, families and teachers can see each other, learn from each other, advise each other and keep developing this beautiful practice together.
THE TEACHER TRAINING
Our program reveals the art of teaching Family AcroYoga in a safe and caring environment. First we offer two online modules with theory and practice. Then during an onsite training, we offer detailed workshops designed to enhance practical Family AcroYoga know-how including; build body & mind awareness, cultivate positive thinking, and trust & community minded thinking. We share various skills including how to ‘manage’ large groups of adults & children, how to establish clear means of communication, how to practice elaborate physical exercises with the age groups, and how to make workshops and classes Interesting, Beneficial and Fun for children and parents.
When working with children there is a big sense of joy and there are also some challenges along the way. The more prepared we can be as teachers and parents the more joy and light we will create around our children. Training ourselves in pedagogical strategies, methodology of teaching, tricks for keeping the attention in class, sharing new moves and flows is a continuous task for all educators.

June 2022 – Master class with Deven Sisler
This module will give you tools to teach toddlers and teens. Deven Sisler is a senior teacher and has a lot of experience in teaching Acroyoga to kids from 1-18 years old. In this very special masterclass Deven will teach classes on how to teach toddlers and teens.
Join Deven online to learn the theory and techniques to create playful, safe, inclusive AcroYoga spaces for families with children ages 1-3 years old. She will share effective tools for classroom management, time tested class plans and her favorite songs for this age group. Bring a teddy bear or a puppet for the first class.
Between the classes we recommend that you practice the exercises with a real child in the age of 1-3 years old.
After you practice teaching, we will in the second class then dive back in for lively discussion about “what went well” and “what could go better next time”. Please bring your favorite stuffy, a notebook/pen, willingness to be silly and have fun for this masterclass.
The last class in the module will focus on teens. Gain tangible tools to share mindfulness, partner yoga and AcroYoga with teens. We will explore how to reach young adults in different settings from yoga studios to help build holistically balanced adults.
We hope this masterclass will give you new tools and inspire you to teach new target groups.
